Actually hate speech is portrayed through baseless claims or complete lies.
The truth is found through evidence.

I know that, and you know that, but there are those to whom the truth goes against all their beliefs. With any controversial issue there will be those who stand firmly against the truth, and who will run crying "Hate speech!" when the latter is presented to them, no matter how supported or simple it is.

This stamp is awesome, it's so true. People just hate to hear the truth when they're all wrapped up in their own thing -_-

To be honest, I forgot when I made it. Something along the lines of, "people don't know the truth regarding wolves." I always have to tie wolves or wildlife management into all of my stamps somehow lol...

Yea you get labeled as a bad person in society. A good set example is "Occupy Wall Street Protesters", look what happens when you speak "The Truth" out. You get Harassed, Arrested and put in Jail.

Agree definitely. It's a pity that it's been that way for centuries when it comes to honesty. People should know that it's wrong to mask the truth with lies or pretty words to spare one's feelings or to cover up wrongdoings. :|

Hit me with the blunt truth than some lie any day. At least I'd know you had the courage to be honest with me versus others who just rolls crap loosely from their mouth. Thanks for sharing your work on dA also~

It's absolutely true, particularly since the word "hate" is linked to *AHEMracism*. But seriously, I don't like it when people think it's "racist" when the statistics are objectively accurate.

There are three types of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.

To prove your point you need more than statistics, because if you're going to pull statistics out of context they're going to "prove" whatever you'd like.

Yes, I hate it whenever things are taken out of context. Relatively speaking, there are some things that just don't satisfy no matter how you look at them.

Yeah I would agree with this.

Take the Travon Martin thingy for example. NONE of the people who have been most vocal in pronouncing Zimmerman guilty, like the news, Jackson, Sharpton, and almost every other black out there, knows what happened that night. However, that does not stop them from harking on about it being racially motivated. I've literally lost count of the number of interviews and stories that begin with "Martin would still be alive if he weren't black."
But if you dare point out that those people do not know what they're talking about, than you, my friend, are a Klansman.

It's really, truly sad that truth today matters not in comparison to rhetoric, emotions and ratings.

It's only shaming if I say that they EXPECT to be liked and treated well and then generalize them into something most of them aren't.

But it is scientifically unhealthy...

Damn you, fat acceptance movement, for making it hate speech to bring up the fact that being obese makes you way more likely to get fatty organs, diabetes, chronic fatigue, worn out bones, a shortened life, Alzheimer's, and a lower IQ, regardless of diet and exercise, meanwhile the true victims, healthy range weighted women, are shunned and in severe cases passive aggressively bullied by peers and elder women to put on weight until they're even fatter than everyone else, and eating disorder centers will force weight gain while no one will force a fatty into a fat camp, and you're not a good example or real woman unless you have pillow thighs and a butt-gut that everyone can relate to and look back at themselves and feel better about.

Nope, baldly, like in 'baldfaced liar'; as a bald head has no toupee, something baldly stated makes no attempt to disguise what it is. See def 6 here: [link] (The moar you know! Oh man oh man, as a dyslexic, I LOVE using that word correctly!)

It's amazing how stupid profound sounding things can be when you strip them down to basic principles.

Bad part, this can happen in all circles

Racial issues
Me - Points out the fact a recent shooting involving a drug dealing teenager getting shot was not racially motivated
Result - Politely asked to 'not intrude on the lesson' by teacher preaching about apparent racism

Fiction
Me - Politely point out that many blood sucking monsters had been existent in lore across the planet, and that the Twilight bloodsuckers might just be considered one of these as they don't fit the description of the Modern European vampire
Result - Twitards.....lots....and lots...of twitards getting VERY angry

Paleontology
Me - Points out that Tyrannosaurus rex probably didn't look like a giant peacock or turkey due to skin impressions of it and close relatives showing only head thick scales, not giant feathers and waddles
Result - Getting boo-ed of a paleontological chatroom by all but 2 participants on grounds of 1 distant relative having proto-feathers and not conforming to the 'new and correct theories'

Conservation
Me...trying to politely correct a wolfaboo on misinformation...need I say more?
